Hydropower Dam Safety Expert

This is a challenging opportunity to work on hydropower, pumped-storage, and dam safety projects.

  • Support inspections of existing dams and water retaining structures.
  • Conduct analyses, evaluations, and designs.
  • Prepare contract documents, including specifications and cost estimates.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams on various engineering projects.
About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water retaining structures.

This role requires a strong background in civil, structural, mechanical, geological, or geotechnical engineering, with experience working on hydropower projects regulated by FERC or other agencies.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare contract documents, including drawings, specifications, design documentation, and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering assignments that may require critical thinking and creativity.
  • Develop design options or recommendations with supporting calculations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on various hydropower, pumped storage, and dam safety engineering projects.
