Lead Research Project Coordinator

This role will oversee the setup, conduct, and close-out of clinical trials. It also involves supporting and guiding a team of clinical trial professionals to ensure consistent delivery and adherence to protocols.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Project Manager to join our team. This key position will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical trials and research projects in collaboration with day-to-day operational and trial-related activities of the team.

  • Oversight and participation in setting up, conducting, and closing out clinical trials.
  • Providing guidance and support to a team of clinical trial professionals to guarantee protocol adherence.
  • Collaboration with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and institutional partners to synchronize operational goals and address issues.
  • Representing the team in governance meetings, steering committees, and other stakeholder meetings.
  • Management of trial timelines and resource allocation across multiple concurrent studies.
  • Negotiation of research agreements and management of clinical trial/study budgets to maintain on-time project completion within scope.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has extensive relevant experience (a minimum of 2 years at management level) and demonstrated knowledge of health research, including clinical trials.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Science, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in health research, including clinical trials.
  • Strong understanding of clinical study processes, ICH-GCP guidelines, and relevant local regulations and quality principles for conducting clinical research.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical trials regulatory environments.
  • Experience preparing health-related regulatory, ethics, and governance submissions, including protocol development and documentation.
