About the RoleThis position involves working on residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects across Australia.
Responsibilities include:
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders to protect surfaces and surroundings from paint splatter.
- Preparing surfaces by scraping off old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and sanding and sealing surfaces.
- Mixing and preparing paints to specific colors and consistencies as per project requirements.
- Applying paint, varnish, and stains using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment for interiors and exteriors.
- Hanging wallpaper and matching patterns (if required).
- Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after job completion.
- Performing minor repairs including window and frame maintenance (if necessary).
- Laying or repairing wall and floor tiles (if required).
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of proven experience as a professional painter, a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, and strong understanding of modern painting methods, materials, and tools.
