Job Overview

The Rathfarnham Music Program seeks an experienced leader to develop and nurture the musical learning of all students.

The successful candidate will provide a stimulating music learning environment, support the Director of Music, and join a collaborative community committed to empowering and motivating students and staff.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum.
  • Provide effective classroom management and team leadership.
  • Support the annual calendar of events and contribute to the school's mission.

The ideal candidate will have a level of proficiency in a band or string instrument and keyboard accompaniment skills.

They will be part of a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters creativity, confidence, and generosity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Junior School Music Program.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum.
  • Provide a stimulating music learning environment.
  • Support the Director of Music and contribute to the school's mission.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in the Kodály music curriculum and choral direction.
  • Strong relationship-building and team management skills.
  • Level of proficiency in a band or string instrument and keyboard accompaniment skills.
