Senior Pharmacy Leader

About the Role:

The Senior Pharmacy Leader is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient care and achieve clinical excellence.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for pharmacy practice in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and improve health outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
  • Registered pharmacist with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in a senior role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments.
