About the role
The Australian Teletrial Program (ATP) is expanding in Regional South Australia to increase clinical trial access for regional SA patients and looking for a Senior Pharmacist to support the team. The role can be based virtually, with a need to visit sites in regional South Australia as needed.

The Australian Teletrial Program (ATP) is expanding in Regional South Australia to increase clinical trial access for regional SA patients and looking for a Senior Pharmacist to support the team. The role can be based virtually, with a need to visit sites in regional South Australia as needed.
The role of the Senior pharmacist in the Teletrial team includes:
- Developing a comprehensive guideline outlining the process for obtaining approval for clinical trials in each of the 6 RLHNs, including RSS and local LHN ethics research and governance approval
- Collaborating with ATP-SA to conduct feasibility assessments of pharmacy-related considerations for regional hospitals, to supply medicines
- Establishing a clinical trials medicines ordering and dispensing procedure
- Address importation and logistical considerations for clinical trials pharmaceutical products
- Identify and implement Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for regional pharmacy staff
- Create training packages to ensure appropriate education of regional pharmacy staff in GCP
- Serve as the primary contact for medication governance-related teletrials
This position also provides mentorship and professional leadership to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students, while contributing to research, education, and clinical governance. You'll play a key role in ensuring policy compliance, promoting service excellence and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within SA Pharmacy's state-wide network. About You
You are a skilled hospital pharmacist who thrives in a leadership role, bringing both clinical expertise and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
- Significant hospital pharmacy experience, including leadership and mentoring responsibilities
- Proven ability to deliver high-level pharmaceutical care and manage complex medication regimens
- Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), and compliance with immunisation requirements required
