Key Responsibilities

As a pivotal member of Tabcorp's integrity commitment, the Risk & Compliance Team is dedicated to minimizing business risks and ensuring adherence to regulations. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Trading Surveillance Analyst. In this vital position, you will oversee our wagering operations to identify and report any malpractice, market abuse, or price manipulation.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting near real-time monitoring of trading activities, systems, and reports, escalating any suspicious activities or trading irregularities;
  • Generating daily, weekly, and monthly trading data reports from various systems to pinpoint and detect unusual activity;
  • Assisting in identifying and mitigating risks by implementing control enhancements in accordance with relevant policies, regulations, and agreements;
  • Supporting process documentation and keeping abreast of regulatory changes to facilitate the education of trading personnel;
  • Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in surveillance technology, recommending updates to enhance compliance and trading execution.

As a Trading Surveillance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring public and industry confidence in Tabcorp by fostering a fair and orderly market for consumers.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should ideally possess a strong background in data reporting, statistics, and analytical business processes or a similar position within a highly regulated corporate environment. Experience in wagering trading is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additionally, you should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in compliance, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field;
  • A methodical and systematic approach to work;
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities to engage, influence, and negotiate with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
