About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Communications to lead our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business communications strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications plan that aligns with our business objectives and enhances our reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a communications strategy that supports the ANZ business strategy and aligns with AECOM's global communications plan.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to the ANZ Chief Executive and other senior leaders.
  • Lead a team of internal and external communications specialists to develop, deliver, and assess the impact of all internal and external communications priorities.
  • Partner with regional, business line, and support services leaders to align on communication opportunities and initiatives.
  • Provide direct communications support to key executives through insights, advice, and reporting to drive engagement and maximize business performance.
Requirements
  • Exceptional written communication skills and experience in leading and developing communications strategies.
  • A consultative, service-oriented mindset and excellent listening skills.
  • High-level project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • The ability to build trust and relationships quickly with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior communications role, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Degree qualified in English Literature, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
