As the Senior Communications Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coordinate executive correspondence, stakeholder relationship management, media relations, and community engagement for key regional projects.
  • Supervise and guide a team of communications officers, ensuring high-quality communication materials and strategies.
  • Provide expert tactical and operational advice on communication issues, developing and implementing strategies to resolve challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication channels and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and regulations.
  • Deliver training and support to staff and contractors to improve communication skills for project execution.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing is highly desirable.
  • Experience in strategic communication or community engagement, particularly within the transport or civil engineering sectors, will be highly regarded.
  • A Class 'C' driver's licence is required.
  • Accreditation with the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) or Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional status is desirable but not mandatory.
