  • We are a leading contractor supply service to the energy sector in Australia, seeking a qualified Senior Engineer to join our HDPE Gas Gathering Project team.

Job Description:

The role involves overseeing various aspects of construction, including Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control and Documentation:
  • Oversight of quality control procedures to ensure construction adheres to blueprints and specifications.
  • Inspections of materials and workmanship, identifying and addressing deviations.
  • Maintenance of accurate construction records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders.
  • Collaboration with inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participation in the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Management of subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Attendance at project meetings and provision of updates on progress and potential issues.
  • Assistance with project closeout activities, including final inspections and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field.
    • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
    • Excellent project management, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams.
    • Proficiency in construction documentation and recordkeeping practices.
    • A strong commitment to safety and ability to enforce safe work practices on-site.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our dedicated team working on a significant project in the Surat Basin. The successful candidate will have a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 5 days on, 2 days off roster with paid travel for onsite work.

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
