Key Responsibilities- Perform and oversee vessel maintenance in line with planned schedules and ensure equipment remains in top condition.
- Supervise and support personnel involved in engineering tasks, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
- Operate winches and other machinery during operations, providing assistance to Deckhands as needed for smooth and safe activities.
- Prepare maintenance and operational reports, and report defects promptly to management.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, ISM procedures, and environmental regulations.
- A minimum Engineer Class 3 Certificate of Competency (or equivalent).
- Statements of Attainment in Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001).
- A current AMSA Medical and a valid MSIC (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, coupled with efficient fault-finding skills to address challenges effectively.
- Effective communication through verbal and written channels, ensuring clear and concise information is conveyed.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to foster strong working relationships within a team environment.
