About the Role
The Meat Manager role is available for an active, enthusiastic leader who is ready to manage the meat department. This position involves overseeing a small team, ensuring high-quality product presentation, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coaching staff, managing stock control, and maintaining department standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the meat department, ensuring high-quality product presentation and exceptional customer service
- Coach and train staff to meet company standards
- Manage stock control and maintain department standards
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction
Requirements and Skills
- Certificate III in Meat Processing (or equivalent/above)
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven management experience, including supervising small teams
- Ability to train and coach staff and apprentices
- Experience in fresh food handling, stock control, and product presentation
- Ability to meet food safety and WH&S standards
- Intermediate computer skills
- Expertise in cutting and presenting meat products to company guidelines
