Infrastructure Planning Team Lead

This role oversees the planning of efficient, smart, high-performing and integrated water and wastewater assets.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a team of planning engineers and engineering contractors to plan water and wastewater infrastructure for 39 towns, including projects such as Master Plans for water and wastewater, infrastructure feasibility assessments and concept designs.
- Lead updates to a rolling 10-year Capital Program of works based on Master Plans and financial models, reflecting renewals, growth, safe drinking water requirements, legislation changes, reducing carbon emissions, and environmental compliance needs.
- Provide technical guidance on matters like development inquiries, proposed infrastructure, and alterations to North East Water assets or operations.
- E nsure sound knowledge and practices in engineering and project management are applied according to legislation, codes, regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Promote an inclusive working environment where employees can excel.
The ideal candidate has leadership experience, advanced communication skills, ability to analyze engineering data, and provide technical advice on infrastructure projects. Relevant qualifications include tertiary or postgraduate degrees in Engineering.
