Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to lead our Microbiology team and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, high-performing service focused on effective patient care. The ideal candidate will have expertise in microbiology and be able to manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field and hold a relevant postgraduate qualification. They will also have experience of managing and leading teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of quality management systems and experience of working in a laboratory environment would be an advantage.

Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary and a £2,000 recruitment incentive (pro rata). The post is a contract role within the Microbiology service, and the location is Ipswich, England, United Kingdom.

Our Pathology Service is part of the East Coast Pathology Network, providing hospital and community health services across east Suffolk and north Essex. We offer training, development opportunities, and flexible working options.
