About the Role:
- This Data QA Engineer position involves designing and implementing comprehensive test plans and cases to guarantee data integrity, quality, and completeness in databases and ETL pipelines.
- You will be responsible for developing automated data testing frameworks using SQL and Python to streamline QA processes and improve efficiency.
- In this role, you will perform rigorous validation to detect data integrity issues, schema mismatches, and inconsistencies across the system.
- As a Data QA Engineer, you will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand data requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
- You will also be responsible for testing the scalability and performance of data pipelines, ensuring they meet required throughput, latency, and stability metrics.
- Defect tracking and reporting will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, documenting and tracking data quality issues through resolution using tools like Jira.
- You will ensure data testing complies with security standards, regulations, and data governance policies.
- Lastly, you will stay updated on the latest tools, technologies, and practices to drive ongoing improvements in data testing processes.
About You:
- Strong experience in data QA, including SQL and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in automated testing using Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze complex data flows and ensure data integrity.
- Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data governance, and CI/CD tools preferred.
