Job Opportunity:

The Assurance Analyst position is responsible for implementing and monitoring the assurance program to ensure the control framework meets business risk and compliance obligations at an enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of a comprehensive compliance management framework, risk management framework, and governance policies across the organization.
  • Conduct thorough control testing and reporting on design and operating effectiveness of the control framework.
  • Identify key controls and implement testing plans to identify control gaps and weaknesses.
  • Support the Head of Assurance in providing other assurance activities, including quality assurance over Line 1 Control Self-Assessment testing and annual attestations.
  • Perform in-depth risk assessments on high-risk areas to evaluate the strength of the control framework.
  • Foster relationships with staff and risk coordinators to promote a culture of compliance.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective engagement with risk and governance strategy, appetite, and tolerances.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience in conducting risk and compliance assessments.
  • Understanding of financial services industry or government entities.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver assignments and initiatives on time, to a high level of quality.
  • Knowledge of compliance and/or risk frameworks.
  • Experience in assurance functions such as internal audit, or first or second line assurance function.
  • Experience in controls assurance testing or auditing.
