About the Role

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team at Annecto, a leading provider of disability services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care services to individuals with disabilities, supporting them to live their lives to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, including domestic assistance, meal preparation, and personal care;
  • Facilitate community access and appointments, ensuring participants' needs are met;
  • Offer respite to carers, providing them with a much-needed break;
  • Support participants with shopping and daily activities, promoting independence and autonomy;
  • Work collaboratively with participants, carers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized care plans;
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • Minimum availability of 3 days a week;
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants and their families;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges;
  • Highly professional and compassionate, with a commitment to delivering person-centered care;
  • Current police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check;
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to update;
  • Valid driver's license and own transport vehicle with insurance;
  • COVID-19 vaccination in line with Victorian Government Public Health directions.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability Care;
  • Knowledge and experience in a similar industry or position;
  • Completed the online NDIS worker orientation module - Quality Safety & You.
