The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate technical requirements and specifications. This includes ensuring project administration correspondence and compliance with documentation requirements relevant to construction projects.
To excel in this role, a postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline is required, along with 2+ years of engineering experience. Preference will be given to those with experience working in design and engineering roles within utility-scale solar project construction.
This position involves managing and developing conceptual designs in Auto CAD, preliminary engineering analyses, and performance evaluations. The successful candidate will review Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to understand and adhere to key design and engineering requirements.
Key responsibilities include reviewing design documents, shop drawings, datasheets, and other applicable technical information. The candidate must also understand equipment specifications to integrate design strategies and techniques to construction plans and drawings.
An additional responsibility is to review detailed engineering drawings to ensure compliance with applicable project requirements, construction practicality and efficiency, codes, and standards.
Energy optimization is another critical aspect of the job, where calculations are made to optimize the overall performance of the system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline.
- 2+ years of engineering experience.
- Preference will be given to those with experience working in design and engineering roles within utility-scale solar project construction.
