Senior Solar Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solar Engineer to join our energy team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the conceptual and detailed engineering of solar projects, developing specifications, and collaborating with management on engineering concerns.

  • Oversight of conceptual and detailed engineering for solar projects
  • Developing specifications and collaborating with management on engineering concerns

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting professional engineering work without direct supervision
  • Consulting, recommending, and advising on specialist engineering areas
  • Supervising and coordinating multi-disciplined design activities
  • Controlling technical interfaces between disciplines, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Assisting in forecasting and constructability of projects
  • Supervising commissioning activities with site teams

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in solar PV engineering, particularly in utility-scale solar projects up to 100MW
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, Cymcap, PVCase, RatedPower PV Design
  • Strong analytical thinking, effective problem-solving, and clear communication
  • Ability to collaborate in diverse teams, manage multiple projects, and maintain a strategic focus
  • Willingsness to travel for site-based work as needed
