Job Description:

This rewarding role involves providing holistic support to aged people living at home, either independently or with family. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering personal care, household domestic assistance, meal preparation, accompanying customers on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.

The role requires a high level of physical fitness, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering personal care and household domestic assistance to customers
  • Preparing meals and accompaniment on shopping trips, appointments, and community activities
  • Providing general companionship and social support to customers
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues
  • Collaborating with colleagues and management to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Background and qualification in community services (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • High level of physical fitness
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and CPR/First Aid certificates
