Teaching Position Available

Cedars Christian College is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team. Located in the heart of the Illawarra region, our school provides a unique opportunity for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual impairments to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a stage-based class (Stage 2: Years 3–4, Stage 3: Years 5–6, or Stage 4: Years 7–8) or providing RFF teaching across both primary and secondary classes on a permanent part-time basis (0.4 FTE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse academic and wellbeing needs of students
  • Structure lessons to meet the specific requirements of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual impairments
  • Create and maintain safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments
Requirements
  • Thorough curriculum knowledge and excellent teaching practice
  • Ability to structure lessons to meet the diverse academic and wellbeing needs of students
  • Capacity to create and maintain safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments
  • Experience working with students with disability
  • Ability to incorporate a Christian worldview and Biblical truth into lessons
  • Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
  • Positive contribution to the culture of the College community
  • Strong technology skills
