Job DescriptionThis is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, based in our West Perth office. The role involves frequent domestic travel and offers a competitive remuneration package, including supportive team environment and ongoing development opportunities for career growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of operations, working environments, and current work practices and procedures.
- Develop and implement site-specific risk assessments, operational procedures, and work instructions, ensuring ongoing reviews and effectiveness checks.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare investigation reports, and provide immediate support for hazard management and follow-up actions.
- Manage SHS systems, reporting, and identify effective initiatives and projects to enhance safety and sustainability within the business.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in mining or heavy transport industry.
- Previous industry-specific experience in a Health & Safety Management role.
- A health and safety or related qualification from a tertiary institution.
- Understanding of ICAM methodology or similar and ISO 45001/14001 experience.
- Competent in HSE statistics, reporting, and data analysis.
- Ability to develop tactical and strategic plans to address safety issues and mentor site HSE advisors.
