We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Curatorial Trainee. This is an exceptional chance to gain hands-on experience in the museum and gallery world, working with collections and engaging diverse audiences.
The traineeship offers a structured approach to developing curatorial skills, including practical development in collection management software. You will receive guidance, mentoring and ongoing support from our strong team culture, enabling you to build confidence in working with collections and engaging diverse audiences.
- This 22-month fixed-term contract provides a unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience across two major Scottish institutions.
- You will spend 16 months based in Edinburgh, followed by 6 months in Aberdeen, where you will be split between the Aberdeen Art Gallery and Aberdeen Treasure Hub.
We welcome applications from individuals who are eager to build a career in curatorial practice, particularly those from diverse or marginalized backgrounds who may not have previously considered working in the arts.
