Job Overview

We are seeking an expert in threat detection and mitigation to lead proactive investigations into account takeovers, coordinated account abuse, bot activity, and emerging threats targeting account integrity.

This senior security engineer will collaborate on defining and implementing metrics that help quantify risk posture and guide abuse mitigation strategies.

Key responsibilities include developing threat detection alerts, anomaly signals, and logging strategies to enable early abuse identification. The role also involves partnering with analytics engineers to ensure threat metrics are reliable, visible, and segment-able across user tiers and abuse methods.

The successful candidate will drive post-incident reviews, support threat modeling for new features, and maintain knowledge bases for common and novel attack vectors.

This position requires a strong technical background in SQL, log analysis, metrics definition, and basic statistical reasoning. Experience working closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, or in fraud/risk analytics contexts is a plus.

Additionally, this individual will have hands-on experience using AI in their work to drive greater impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience working closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, or in fraud/risk analytics contexts
  • Hands-on experience using AI in your work to drive greater impact
