About the Role

The client is a hybrid consultancy that takes projects from start to finish, including initial site inspections, technical due diligence, capital expenditure and lifecycle forecasting, asset repositioning, concept & detailed building services design and overall project management.

Their niche is in existing buildings, so their projects are typically large base building and infrastructure upgrades and refurbishments, which can range from chiller replacements, switch room & lighting upgrades to full base building updates.

The clients they work with are largely within corporate real estate, finance and government, and are usually asset owners, landlords, and facility managers, although sometimes they do partner with other consultancies.

The company offers flexible working, annual bonus and a personal development budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project execution and delivery.
  • Design and engineering reviews.
  • Cost planning, program development and meeting minutes management.
  • Liaising with clients on all project matters.
  • Tender evaluation and management.
  • Chairing project coordination group meetings.
  • Acting as project Subject Matter Expert.
  • Coodinating with third parties.
  • Submitting project status reports.
  • Site attendance and monitoring progress, ensuring legislative and health and safety requirements are met.
  • Managing testing and commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Building consultancy experience in Building Services with a minimum of 10 years' experience managing/leading projects.
  • High-level understanding of the project life cycle.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Degree qualified in a related field.
  • Proven organisational skills.
  • An outgoing personality with management experience.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia.
