About the Opportunity

The Engineering Standards team at SA Power Networks seeks an Electrical Standards Specialist to develop, review, and implement technical standards that support the safe and reliable operation of our distribution network. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, driving innovation, and improving safety and cost efficiency across substations, distribution, and telecommunication assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review technical standards to align with regulatory and industry requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in standard designs
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure technical standards meet operational needs
  • Support risk assessments, ensuring WHS and environmental standards are upheld
  • Manage document control processes to maintain accurate technical records

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, and 3+ years of experience working with and developing technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in risk assessments and compliance, excellent communication skills, and experience in project management, technical documentation, and standards development are also essential.
