Technical Expert for Real-Time Data Systems

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, deployment, and refinement of cloud-based optical tracking systems for sport.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable, performant web applications using cloud infrastructure and machine learning technologies.

The Technical Expert will lead efforts to deploy and scale high-accuracy, low-latency ML pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. This will involve collaborating with Computer Vision Engineers and Full Stack Developers to ensure model outputs are integrated and visualized with fidelity.

1. Design, Implement, and Maintain Real-Time, Cloud-Based ML Pipelines: Develop and refine real-time ML pipelines for optical tracking, including ball/player detection and multi-modal fusion.
2. Build and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement cloud infrastructure to support high-throughput video and 3rd party tracking data ingestion, model inference, and event streaming.
3. Contribute to Training and Tuning of ML Models: Work with cross-functional teams to train and tune ML models for live and autonomous sports data capture.
4. Achieve Scalability and Reliability: Architect and deploy scalable and reliable systems on Google Cloud Platform using containers, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and serverless services.
5. Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying updates to live systems with high stability and traceability.
6. Monitor System Performance: Continuously monitor system performance, optimize for latency and robustness, and manage infrastructure costs.
7. Write Clean, Modular Code: Write clean, modular, testable code across the stack (Python, TypeScript, React).
8. Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with CV engineers, product owners, and sports science experts to meet ambitious technical and performance targets.

To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field, or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with strong cloud (GCP mandatory) and machine learning system deployment exposure.

Experience designing and maintaining real-time ML pipelines on cloud infrastructure is highly desirable. Proficiency in building and/or maintaining scalable, performant web applications using Next.js is also highly desirable.
