Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based at Arundel with travel to sites across the Gold Coast region.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, guidance and advice to the operations team to ensure ongoing improvement of work processes and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the operations team to improve work processes and service delivery.
  • Develop project documentation including technical reports, scope of works, construction methodologies and project performance/progress.
  • Review project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Implement quality assurance into project delivery.
  • Assist with tender documentation, process and procurement activities.
  • Ensure design is completed within expected timeframes and checked against budgets during development.
  • Assist with the development of a project budget and ensure financial targets are met without compromise to the business environment, community and client satisfaction KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • Solid knowledge of Australian electrical Standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience within a Project Engineer capacity preferably within the water and/or wastewater industry. Wider Utilities or oil and gas experience is also highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and sub-contractor management skills.
  • Relevant engineering tertiary qualification or equivalent trade-based certification.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting, including budgeting.
  • Strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant industry standards and specifications.
