Job Opportunity: Level Designer

We are seeking skilled level designers to create engaging gameplay experiences that will amaze players. Working within established mechanics and guidelines, you will design box worlds, compose gameplay, and hand over completed levels to 3D artists for polishing.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to bring a new 3rd person action adventure title to life. With one year of pre-production complete, we are now looking for talented individuals to join our team and work on this thrilling project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 3D box world game levels as scheduled by the lead designer
  • Tweak and refine gameplay to ensure maximum fun factor for the end user
  • Design and script gameplay elements such as enemies, items, music, audio, events, interactivity, and puzzles for single-player, deathmatch, and co-operative gameplay modes
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge, ability, and talent in level design
  • Show a solid understanding of 3D space, game object placement, pacing, game flow, and fun factor
  • Possess a strong portfolio of completed level designs
  • Have mastery of UnrealEd and Kismet
  • Exhibit excellent creative skills, innovation while working within design guidelines and technical limitations
  • Foster a culture of following direction, seeking feedback, and being receptive to constructive criticism
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively within deadlines
  • Maintain high personal standards demonstrated in quality and pride of work
  • Knowledge of prominent and successful games with the ability to analyze, critique, and discuss
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in the game development process and production pipelines
  • Knowledge of multiple platforms and genres a plus
