About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director, Engineering Program Management to lead our Engineering Program Management Office (EPMO) in Sydney or San Diego. As a key member of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for establishing and leading this critical capability for our product delivery across our hardware and software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring enterprise-wide leadership and impact necessary to transform and lead programs aligned to the Product strategy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of project managers and technical program managers who support the delivery of ResMed's engineering products and services.
  • Define and implement the PMO vision, strategy, objectives, and roadmap in alignment with the engineering and Product goals.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, standards, methodologies, and tools for program management and planning activities across the engineering organization.
  • Work with world-class engineering teams to build solutions while breaking down technical and cross-functional barriers.
  • Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and coordination among the engineering teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and report on the progress, status, risks, and issues of the engineering programs and projects, and provide timely escalation and resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the PMO processes, data, and technology solutions to enable faster, better, and more efficient delivery.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to the PMO team and the engineering leaders on program management principles and practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in leading engineering program management teams and delivering complex software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, project management tools, data analysis, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs with high impact and visibility.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects and teams across various domains and geographies.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and engineering best practices.
