Job Description

As a key player in the defence industry, this role plays a crucial role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across 100 locations nationwide. From operations and maintenance to asset management and fuel supply services, this team's expertise ensures effective and sustainable delivery.

Due to expanding scope of works within the portfolio, experienced mechanical fitters are sought to join the Operations & Maintenance team at Amberley RAAF Base in QLD. This would be an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment, supporting national security requirements. Benefit from working with a tier 1 services provider in a long-term operations and maintenance contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required.
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout QLD.
What We Need

This is an opportunity for a strong team player, self-starter, and dedicated employee to deliver high quality outcomes. The following qualifications are required:

  • Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience.
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
  • Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded.
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded.
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything.
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
