We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume a supervisory role in our cleaning department.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of cleaning staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in line with established quality standards.

This involves supervising cleaning staff, allocating duties, overseeing waste contract service delivery, monitoring stock levels, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise cleaning staff to ensure effective and efficient systems of collection of waste streams, litter control, and emergency cleaning response
  • Manage routine cleaning of buildings, allocation of duties, and attention to daily availability of labour
  • Assist in managing departmental expenditure on materials and labour in relation to operations
  • Plan and implement periodical cleaning, window cleaning, and related services
  • Oversee waste contract service delivery and ensure waste management systems conform with environmental procedures
  • Liaise with building contacts auditing buildings to ensure cleaning outcomes satisfy customer requirements
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Certificate IV or equivalent relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive (typically more than two years) relevant experience as a technician
  • Experience in a service industry and demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a team of staff
  • Experience in training staff, assessing staff productivity, and identifying training needs
  • Experience in management of resources and preparation and controls of budgets
