Senior Accountant Policy and Advisory Expert

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Accountant Policy and Advisory to join our Accounting Policy & Advisory department, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Group's compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will be crucial in creating Group accounting written policies, providing expert technical accounting advice, and assisting with accurate and timely statutory reporting.
You'll serve as an advisory expert, presenting financial information and accounting standards interpretation to senior management and business stakeholders. Your strong communication skills and understanding of the banking or other financial services industries are essential for this role. Additionally, you'll be responsible for training on accounting policies and upholding governance requirements related to their use.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who:
- Is CA/CPA qualified with over 7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
- Has experience in designing and delivering written accounting policies.
- Is skilled in implementing accounting standards and interpreting IFRIC decisions.
You'll be someone who communicates complex accounting and financial reporting issues to non-technical stakeholders, possesses stakeholder engagement capabilities across all levels, and operates effectively in a matrix environment. A curious mindset and commitment to continuous improvement are key to succeeding in this role.
