Job Title: Lecturer in Tourism and Event Management

The La Trobe Business School is a leading Australian business school that aims to enhance business learning through education and research. We are seeking a lecturer to play a key role in the ongoing development and enhancement of the curriculum within the tourism and event management discipline.

The successful appointee will have experience in teaching management and be responsible for coordinating and delivering subjects at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. They will ensure that content remains current, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.

In addition, the appointee will actively foster and maintain collaborative relationships between the School and relevant industry partners, helping to strengthen professional connections and enhance student employability.

A further expectation of the role is the pursuit of scholarly research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of learning and teaching practices within the tourism and event management discipline, supporting innovation and academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas. They will have demonstrated competence in teaching, subject coordination, and curriculum development.

Additionally, the appointee must have evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken in the last three years that have improved the student experience, and the evaluation of effectiveness of these initiatives. They will also demonstrate an ability to engage with the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
