About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to join our team at Agri Talent. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our Western Victorian aggregation, including crop and livestock operations, budgeting, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broad acre cropping and livestock, with excellent managerial skills and the ability to build strong relationships with our clients. You will be responsible for championing operational excellence, planning sustainable crop rotations, and innovating best practices in operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion operational excellence and plan sustainable crop rotations
  • Innovate and standardize best practices in operations and maintenance
  • Oversee regional harvests with meticulous planning and execution
  • Manage budgets and inventory, including grain, seed, and consumables
  • Ensure accurate recording of all operations in Smartsheets, Agworld, Agri digital, and My John Deere
  • Plan and manage all earth works and farm improvements, including land forming, drainage, and paddock layouts
  • Maintain all plant and equipment, developing a system of maintenance that reduces working capital requirements
  • Utilize precision agri techniques for the use of chemical inputs
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in agricultural operations, excellent managerial skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with our clients. You will be distinguished by your knowledge of broad acre cropping and livestock, your demonstrated managerial skills, and your excellent people skills under pressure.
