Bushland Technician Job Description

Assist the City's Bushland Crew in daily maintenance tasks including weed control, brush cutting, pruning, revegetation, and associated landscape works.

  • Work within a team environment to assist with day-to-day maintenance of Bushland reserves.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other Bushland Technicians to achieve high standards of work in designated bushland areas.
About the Role:
  • Perform a variety of tasks to maintain the health and integrity of Bushland reserves.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for the management and conservation of native vegetation.
  • Develop skills in flora and fauna identification, as well as pest plant management techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of natural resource management practices, codes, regulations, legislation, and Acts.
  • Ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment.
  • Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.
