We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Kirinari Community Services in Tasmania. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their day-to-day living, providing quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, including domestic and personal care assistance.
- Assist customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability.
- Resilience, confidence, and the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships.
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
- Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
- Smart Phone.
- Current Driver's Licence.
