As a Financial Operations Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting for clients.

About the Job

This hands-on professional will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and monitoring general ledger accounts to determine necessary accruals or adjusting journal entries.

The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate accounting, strong technical skills, and the ability to streamline processes for scalability.

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for multiple entities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor and analyze all general ledger accounts to determine necessary accruals or adjusting journal entries.
  • Responsible for AP & AR functions, including processing invoices, bills, checks, and deposits.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, investment activity, and intercompany transactions.
  • Review property-level financials, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Support asset management and development teams with financial data and reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow management and budgeting processes.
  • Implement internal controls, including controls over financial reporting.
  • Audit and review of company's financial record.

In this role, you will assist with financial modeling and forecasting for new acquisitions and developments, participate in process improvement initiatives, and provide support for tax return preparation and financial statement audits.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 4+ years of accounting experience in real estate or private equity. Proficiency in accounting software is required. Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills are essential for success.
