About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Assistant Manager to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for assisting the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store's bakery department.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the management and coaching of the bakery team
  • Completing production and actioning orders
  • Generating rosters and ensuring accurate team member scheduling
  • Liaising with team members and management to ensure smooth department operations
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers
  • Assisting with merchandising and visual displays to drive sales and promote our products
  • Ensuring compliance with work health and safety standards and maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail or bakery environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
