About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team at mod.io. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for shaping and owning the narrative of our company's growth and success in the video games industry.

Your primary focus will be on leading external communications, setting and delivering the earned media strategy, and creating compelling language that resonates with our target audience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing campaigns to achieve meaningful press coverage across key B2B and B2C video games media.
  • Collaborating with product teams to interpret, celebrate, and communicate their stories, which benefit mod.io's value proposition to the wider gaming community.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key B2B and B2C press contacts.
  • Working with game publishers and studios to share their stories and showcase the impact of mod.io's platform.

Requirements

We are looking for a humble, enthusiastic, self-starter who takes ownership over what they create and will help us shape and improve the company. Key qualifications include:

  • A strong understanding of video games and the business of video games.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Public Relations or Communications, ideally with experience in middleware and/or game publishing.
  • Strong media relationships across key markets, particularly North America and Europe.
