Job Title:

A highly organized and efficient ED Clerk is required to perform administrative tasks, registration, and admission of patients in the Emergency Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Managers, and Floor Manager
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate area within the Emergency Department
  • Manage internal and external inquiries at the reception desk

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g. FirstNet, iPM)
  • Understanding of Medical Terminology (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a Hospital setting (desirable)

Additional Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy
