The Australian Defence Force requires a skilled Aircraft Armament Technician to maintain and operate advanced weapon systems on some of the world's most technologically advanced aircraft.

This critical role involves handling and maintaining armament systems, ejection seat systems, air-launched munitions, and associated equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance and testing of aircraft armament systems
  • Inspection, removal, and installation of aircraft components
  • Working with explosives and operating aircraft targeting facilities
  • Preparing and loading various air-launched munitions
  • Performing fault diagnostics and troubleshooting

As an Aircraft Armament Technician, you will work as part of a unique and dedicated team responsible for the upkeep of advanced weapons systems.

With further training, you may have the opportunity to become a qualified Demolition of Explosives Operator, where you will safely dispose of unexploded or malfunctioned weapons/munitions and pyrotechnics.
