Cost Estimation Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Cost Estimator to spearhead the estimating team in support of major project bids. In this leadership role, you will deliver precise, detailed, and competitive cost estimates for complex mechanical systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leverage your expertise to lead and oversee the preparation of mechanical cost estimates.
  • Conduct thorough tender reviews.
  • Develop and implement strategies for performance management of estimating teams.
  • Analyse and interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Effectively manage supplier and subcontractor engagement for accurate material pricing.
  • Analyse and validate material, labour, and equipment costs.
  • Support bid submissions with cost breakdowns and feasibility data.
Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical estimating roles, including experience in gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical construction and installation methods.
  • A proven track record in preparing first-principles cost estimates.
  • Strong commercial awareness and procurement principles.
  • Proficient in planning, organising, and working to timelines.
