Election Operations Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Election Operations Coordinator. This role will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of polling places, ensuring that all necessary materials are in place, and that staff are trained and prepared for the election.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the setup and operation of polling places* Ensure all necessary materials are available, including ballot papers, voting machines, and electoral rolls* Train and supervise staff at polling places* Liaise with other teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination* Manage inventory and supplies* Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives* Provide excellent customer service to voters and stakeholders* Work closely with the Returning Officer and other election officials to ensure compliance with electoral laws and regulations* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge* Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent* 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as elections, event management, or logistics* Excellent organizational and time management skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly* Attention to detail and ability to multitask* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances* Willingness to travel to polling places as needed
