We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electoral Officer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves working directly with constituents and community groups to assist them with their concerns and connect them to appropriate support services or advocate on their behalf to Ministers.Job Description

This is a critical role within the electorate office, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to provide high-quality administrative support to the Member, including preparing reports, briefs and correspondence related to the business of the electorate.

The Electoral Officer will also be responsible for managing general administration and daily operations of the office, including maintaining records, processing paperwork and performing other administrative tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media and Communications: Manage media inquiries and respond to constituent queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Constituent Support: Provide direct confidential secretarial, executive, and administrative support to the Member.
  • Research and Analysis: Undertake research into various issues and prepare reports and briefs for the Member.
  • Office Management: Maintain accurate records, process paperwork and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience: At least 2 years' experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
