Senior Social Work Role

The role of a Senior Social Worker involves providing clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department. This position requires an individual with advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing senior clinical leadership and team management within the Social Work Department.
  • Supporting the mentoring and development of staff.
  • Carrying a clinical caseload.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Social Work services.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience and ability to identify opportunities and innovatively lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating continuous improvement, evidence based practice and research.
