Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise advanced nephrology nursing skills to design, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care.

  • Coordinate patient care as the primary point of contact, collaborating with healthcare providers to develop individualised plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional development, attending education programs to maintain and update knowledge and skills.
  • Complete annual clinical and mandatory competencies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and carers to promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Offer guidance and support to junior nurses and other team members, contributing to a positive working environment.
  • Perform staff education and assessment, acting as a preceptor and role model as required.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for staff and visitors.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and risk management.
  • Assist with clinic management and business development, taking on additional responsibilities beyond direct patient care.
  • Coordinate staff education and professional development programs.
  • Engage in clinical research projects.
  • Actively participate in incident reporting and hazard identification.
  • Maintain accurate patient information in medical records.
