Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane Building Services Team. This presents a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects across Healthcare, Defence, Industrial, Transport, Infrastructure, and 2032 Olympics.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of electrical design documentation, including electrical power distribution and reticulation systems, lighting design, standby power generation, and lightning protection.
- Work on interesting projects across the full project lifecycle, from tender preparation and design delivery to construction support across various sectors.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines in team environments, working in a supportive project environment with opportunities to elevate your electrical skills as a project Design Coordinator.
- Provide assistance and contribute technically to the development of engineering proposals.
- Have the opportunity to develop Design/Project Management skills, including multidisciplinary design coordination and gain exposure to client management.
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree with (ideally) 2+ years' experience for a consultancy or contractor with solid design experience.
- Knowledge of Australian electrical engineering design standards, codes, and practices, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1680, AS/NZS 2293, and the BCA.
- Proven, relevant experience working on building services projects as an Electrical Engineer.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software, including MS Office, PowerCAD, Bluebeam/Adobe, and preferred experience with AGI 32 and Revit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Australian Citizenship (preferred, not essential).
