The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing our automated virtualization platform. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our automation services are delivered using agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy automated virtualization platforms
  • Develop and maintain automation services using agile methodologies
  • Provide technical support for applications and systems infrastructure
  • Respond to incidents, faults, and difficulties as escalated from our operations centre
  • Identify root cause and develop long-term solutions
  • Show leadership and provide high levels of expertise to support service level objectives
  • Design and build new services to add value to our products and services
  • Complete security audits on a routine basis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism
  • Deep understanding of core Server Engineering concepts and relevant experience
  • Red Hat Certification is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge with multi-server automated remote deployments
  • Strong working knowledge with automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge in virtualization and containerization technologies
  • Strong understanding of securing applications and Linux operating systems
