Pharmacy Technician

Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg is a Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, oncology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. This hospital is a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.

The pharmacy student will be employed on a casual basis at Mercy Hospital for Women to support the department on weekdays. This role is ideal for a pharmacy student to gain experience and exposure in the public hospital setting.

This position involves working as part of a team to deliver exceptional patient-centred care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality support services.

You will be required to have excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management is essential for success in this role.

In order to thrive in this position, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
